Pastor Abel Passing And Continuing of His Mission
Newsletter
January 2021
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
It is with deepest sorrow that we regret to inform you of Abel's death, which occurred on November 19th, 2020 after a brief but valiant battle against Coronavirus. He started out with a high fever but was convinced it was a reaction to the previously given flu shot. In reality, he had begun to develop powerful viral pneumonia due to his lungs already being in a very bad condition due to his fibrosis. The trip to the hospital did not do much except give him a dignified death. The Lord decided that his time had come (I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now the crown of righteousness is reserved for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will bestow upon me in that day; and not only upon me, but also upon all those who have loved his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8).
Needless to say, both I (Joy) and my siblings but especially my mother, are devastated with grief. Of course, we trust the Good Comforter to give us strength and courage to face this immense pain. Although my father had not been in the best shape for two years now, he never lost the strength and courage to preach the Word of the Lord. Covid had temporarily stopped his Evangelism activities and he felt like a caged lion because his only desire was to bring new souls to God! Precisely for this reason, we have decided not to abandon his desires but to continue in the activity of Evangelization as soon as we have the possibility to go out and bring the Word of God into the world. Certainly, we continue even today, with all the restrictions and within the limits of our freedom.
Above all, we ask you to pray for us, as you have always done, and to help us as much as you can because unfortunately, we are suffering financially. My mother's pension is very little, and I work part-time. My father had invested all he had in spreading the Word of God and we could only be proud of him praying and hoping to become exactly like him, with the Lord's help.
God bless you all.
With love Anna & Joy
